AccuReg Founder and CEO Paul Shorrosh featured in Authority Magazine

AccuReg Founder and CEO, Paul Shorrosh, never intended to start a business, he tells Authority Magazine in the Q&A article, “Health Tech: Paul Shorrosh On How AccuReg’s Technology Can Make An Important Impact On Our Overall Wellness.” But the journey began on a blank excel spreadsheet.

In the article, Shorrosh shares his back story—how a start in social work shaped his future career path in leading patient access teams and later as founder and CEO of AccuReg. The idea for AccuReg derived from his success in building databases to audit and hold payers accountable for correct payment, an endeavor that now saves hospitals billions in revenue.

In his work with patient access teams, Shorrosh realized most of the problems happening at the back end of the revenue cycle were avoidable and preventable because they resulted from problems at the front end, such as errors in registration around insurance eligibility verification, prior authorization, medical necessity and data quality. And this is how AccuReg, meaning “accurate registration,” was born.

Today, the company has expanded its market-leading patient access solutions to include digital intake and engagement tools that help hospitals protect and grow revenue as patients assume more of their own administrative and financial tasks using self-service technology.

Shorrosh shares that the AccuReg EngageCare® platform makes a positive impact on wellness by allowing patients to digitally engage with their care similarly to how they use Amazon, Expedia or pay bills using their mobile phones, all while driving higher patient volume and net revenue for providers.
